There have been many challenges, not the least of which was a charge in 1999 by the SEC of the US government that we had sold 350 million dollars worth of unregistered bonds. We had not sold even one dollars worth ! This stopped everything with our New Utopia development (who wants to be involved with a project under investigation) and it took ten months to prove in court that we were innocent of the charge. No apology was ever received.
There were, and are, supermarket tabloid type scandal web sites, insidious evil people, who used the charge and added a great deal of half truths, innuendos and outright falsehoods, to fabricate negative articles about us and seek to destroy the dream of so many. An example is the website shown below with inaccurate information and untruths posted years ago.
Everyone is entitled to 'Freedom of Speech' But when a site such as 'Scamdog' (now no longer online) provides no contact details, names or an official postal address, this offsets the balance of the 'Right to Reply'. We have written and e-mailed many letters to them over the last eight years and have never received a reply, nor have we been able to identify the owners of the site so we could sue them for libel and defamation. We would be very interested to hear from anybody that knows of the author/s, webmasters and has address or contact information for the former 'Scamdog' website. We can then give them the opportunity to at least print a retraction, or some measure of correction to all the misinformation or, failing this, serve papers on them to sue.
Therefore I urge any who read these words to contact us, if there is any question or explanation they want, we will answer fully and truthfully.

"There have been further unforeseen delays in obtaining financing for our developers. We hope now to be very close to finally making New Utopia a reality, but as with any project of this size there are never any guarantees. It will be done when it is done. We thank all of our supporters for hanging in there and assure you we will never give up, but will continue giving all our effort to realizing our dream.
At a meeting of the Board of Governors today, after much debate, it was decided to change the citizenship requirements of the Principality. The new requirement is for Charter Citizenship invitation is for a contribution of ten thousand dollars ($10,000 US) to be made, and a commitment to invest a *minimum amount of time and money in terms of property acquisition or business transfer to New Utopia within a year of being granted citizenship.
This will assure the government that aspiring citizens are serious about being supportive and productive members of our nation.
We had received thousands of e-mails wanting a guarantee of jobs and housing. This was the reason for the original change in contribution requirements. The analogy is this. If you wanted to move to New York, you would not write to the city of New York demanding assurances of employment and housing. The New Utopia Government administration became overwhelmed in trying to answer these inquiries. Since the amount of the minimum contribution was increased these enquiries reduced to acceptable levels ! The New Utopia Government now feels that too drastic an action was taken in increasing minimum contribution levels to such an extent. ($1 million US). It has therefore been agreed to make these final adjustments to the requirements.
The staff has sent this notice to all those who have inquired since the change.
